Kam Air was granted its Air Operators Certificate (AOC No. 001) in 2003 and was the first AOC issued by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan (MoTCA). Kam Air is an active member of IATA Geneva with a 5* safety rating, achieved by successfully passing the world-renowned audit conducted by IATA Geneva called IOSA. This audit is mandatory for all IATA members, and airlines with this certificate have a record of almost four times safer and better operations than those who don’t have it.
